Investing for Success (I4S)
From 2023 to 2027, approximately $290 million will be allocated to Queensland state schools annually as part of the Investing for Success (I4S) program.
What is the school’s funding for this initiative?
From 2023, the I4S calculation method and processes have been simplified. Each school’s funding will be calculated using the school’s 2022 per-student funding amount multiplied by the Day 8 enrolment data from the relevant year.
What is the purpose of Investing for Success?
State schools are expected to use funding to support students in achieving improved outcomes at all levels of schooling.
State schools will plan how they use I4S funding as part of the whole-of-school planning processes they undertake each year.
How will schools measure student performance?
Schools measure student performance throughout the year and should communicate the outcomes of their school improvement initiatives, in part supported by I4S funding, to their local community.
Each school decides the best way to communicate this information to their school community. Common examples include providing updates through the school’s newsletter or website, reports to the P&C or school council, and the school’s annual report.
